common problem

1. Question: Signal isolator, output 4-20mA signal, access to the instrument or PLC / DCS system signal attenuation

Possible causes : the output load capacity of the isolator does not match with the input impedance of the instrument

terms of settlement: The input impedance of the instrument and the impedance of the transmission signal line are detected. The default load capacity of the 4-20mA signal isolator is 350 Ω. If the impedance of the instrument input and line is greater than 350 Ω, it is recommended that the customer replace the signal isolator with greater output load capacity


2. Question: Signal isolator, output 4-20mA signal, access to PLC / DCS system, system display data abnormal

Possible causes: There is voltage conflict between PLC / DCS card and output of signal isolator

terms of settlement: Confirm whether the PLC / DCS card is a 24 V active card or a passive card, and whether the 4-20mA output of the signal isolator is a current source (active) or a current absorbing source (passive); if the output of the signal isolator is a current source, the PLC / DCS card shall be a passive card, otherwise, it shall be an active card


3. Question: Thermal resistance or thermocouple temperature transmitter, indicator light always flashes after power on

Possible causes : the transmission line between temperature sensor and transmitter is broken

terms of settlement: Check whether there is virtual connection or disconnection fault in the connecting wire between the sensor of thermal resistance or thermocouple and the transmitter, and whether the signal output by the sensor is correct


4. Question: The data displayed by the intelligent digital display meter is inconsistent with the actual measurement

Possible causes: The input signal or upper and lower limits of instrument range are inconsistent with the transmitter or sensor at the front end of the instrument, and the wiring of input signal line is incorrect

terms of settlement: Confirm whether the sensor or transmitter connected to the input end of the instrument is consistent with the input signal type, upper and lower limits of the range, and the internal setting parameters of the instrument; check whether the wiring mode of the input signal line is correct and reliable, and whether the positive and negative poles are correct


5. Question: Intelligent digital display instrument does not display when powered on

Possible causes: The power supply of the instrument is abnormal

terms of settlement: Check whether there is virtual connection in the incoming line of the instrument working power supply, whether the voltage of the incoming line terminal of the measuring instrument is normal and meets the order requirements. The positive and negative pole of the DC power supply should be distinguished. In addition, pay attention to whether the output power of the power supply meets the requirements.


6. Question: The display data of intelligent digital display instrument fluctuates greatly

Possible causes: Input signal instability caused by electromagnetic interference on site

terms of settlement: Check whether there are interference sources on site, such as frequency converter, improve the quality of field signal cable, reliably ground the shielding layer, separate the wiring of signal line from strong current, and increase the time constant of digital filtering of instrument


7. Question: The output analog signal of intelligent digital display instrument is incorrect

Possible causes: Incorrect selection of transmitting output signal and setting of upper and lower limits of measuring range

terms of settlement : confirm whether the selection of instrument transmitting output signal and the setting of upper and lower limits of transmitting corresponding range are correct; check whether the wiring of transmitting output signal line is correct and reliable, and whether the positive and negative poles are connected reversely


8. Question: DC electric energy meter cannot measure DC electric energy data correctly

Possible causes : instrument wiring error, internal parameter setting error

terms of settlement: Confirm whether the maximum current and voltage of the instrument are consistent with the actual situation. If the current is measured through the shunt, the maximum current is set as the maximum current of the shunt; check whether the instrument wiring is correct, and the shunt should be connected in series at the negative end of the power supply


9. Question: The current and voltage data of AC multi-function instrument are correct, but the data of power and electric energy are wrong

Possible causes: Wrong current or voltage wiring

terms of settlement: Check whether the phase sequence of current and voltage wiring is correct and whether the current wiring direction is correct


10. Question: Instrument communication is abnormal

Possible causes: The parameters of direct communication between upper computer and instrument are inconsistent, the wiring of communication line is wrong, and the communication converter is faulty

terms of settlement: Check whether the communication address, communication rate and data format settings of the upper computer and the instrument are consistent; check whether the communication port wiring is correct and whether the positive / negative (receiving / sending) direction is correct; if the communication converter is used, check whether the communication converter is normal; if the data display is wrong, check whether the data analysis mode of the upper computer is consistent with the output storage of the instrument, and check the data storage Is the host computer set correctly
